About the exhibit

This exhibit tells the history of the Scout Movement in Lithuania. The main Scout and Guide Jamborees in the Homeland and in Exile are presented. Exhibition includes post stamps, souvenir sheets, covers, postmarks, cachets and revenue stamps on the covers, and postcards related to the Lithuanian Scout Movement. Exhibition is divided into seven parts: I) Lithuanian Scout Movement 1918-1940; II) Visit of R. Baden-Powell in Lithuania, 1933; III) The 2nd National Scout Jamboree, 1938; IV) Lithuanian Scouts at Displaced Persons Camps in Germany, 1945-1949; V) Lithuanian Scouts in Exile, 1950-1989; VI) Lithuanian Scouts after Restoration of Independence in 1990; and VII) The Centenary of Lithuanian Scouts.
