About the exhibit
The exhibit shows development of postmarks of Vilenskaya guberniya (nowadays parts of Republic of Lithuania and Republic of Belarus since introducing "circle form" postmarks, initially with date inscription in Cyrilic, then in Roman and finally in Arabic numerals. It allows to show expansion of the network of postal offices (kontora’s, otdeleniya’s) in the Vilnius itself and in the region. Registering and money transfer labels, censorship marks, postmarks of volostnyye pravleniya’s are parts of the exibit.
